Self-catered Chalet FAQs

  • How does your Self-catered experience work?

With our Self-catered experience your team will not be catering in the chalet but will continue to provide the high level of service our guests are used to. The Self-catered service will enable you to relax on your holiday whilst everything is taken care of behind the scenes. All essential elements of the Ski Basics service will still be available, to maintain that totally taken care of feel.

  • Can we order food to our chalet?

Absolutely, simply speak to your chalet manager who will be on hand to assist with this from behind the scenes for an array of delicious dinner options and fun refreshments - such as fondue, hot stone and raclette delivery, a large range of meal deliveries, pizza delivery, restaurant bookings, grocery delivery and cocktail nights with 'Mountain Mixology'.

There will also be a range of optional extras which can be bought on our online shop before you arrive so they are ready and waiting in your chalet for when you arrive, for instance you can purchase Nespresso pods to use in the Nespresso machine.

  • How do we pay our deposits and arrange ski passes and hire?

Effortlessly manage everything in one space with our simple booking portal, My Ski Basics. Once you’ve made your booking, simply log on to access all your information, pay deposits, book your ski passes, ski hire and transfers. Plus, the portal can be accessed by each group member meaning handling group bookings could not be easier.

  • We have some non-skiers, what other activities are in resort?

There’s a whole host of activities to be enjoyed by non-skiiers in Meribel. For those still looking to enjoy the slopes on foot there’s a number of activities including snow-showing, husky sledding and snowmobile rides. Prefer to stick to the resort level? Why not hit up the shops for some retail therapy, sample some french wines or pamper yourself at one of the local spas or by ordering a massage to your chalet. Learn more about the activities for non-skiers in Meribel.

  • What are the check in/out times?

Except for December 2023*, check-in time is 16:00 on a Sunday afternoon and check-out at 10:00 on the following Sunday morning.

*Due to New Year’s eve 2023 falling on a Sunday, check-in and check-out will take place on Saturday throughout December with an extended 8 night stay over New Year’s Eve. From Sunday 7th January, check-in/check-out will revert to Sunday for the remainder of the season.
