Meribel has a good variety of quality Après ski bars and nightclubs, some open until the early hours. Après Ski here in Meribel, is mostly centred around the British run bars with live music, which is the key reason why its such a popular holiday destination for many years. The ‘Ronnie’ is legendary throughout the Three Valleys for its great après-ski atmosphere, live bands and abundance of toffee vodka... Remember you do have to ski back afterwards! This bar is up on the slopes just below the Rhodos mid-station – though if you really don’t fancy it you can get the free bus down from the Altiport, the stop is conveniently just by the bar. In sunny weather the terrace is packed in the afternoon until 17.00 when everyone piles inside for the live music and dancing in ski boots, always an entertaining sight!

The Folie was first established in Val D’Isere over 30 years ago - because of its huge success another was built in Val Thorens and for the season 2012 the Folie Douce came to Meribel! With its beautiful, exquisite interior, huge terrace with a V.I.P area and live music every day it is an excellent spot for early Après! Jack’s Bar has cemented itself as the upbeat social hub of Meribel. It is located near the roundabout at Chaudanne. There's live music Monday-Friday from 17h with the best musicians in the Alps. Check out their Happy Hour deals from 16:00 for a guaranteed good time after the slopes.

The Terrase is a great après-ski venue located in Meribel Village. Again, live bands are found here in the afternoon – especially the famous Wednesday sessions – and check out the board outside for weekly events. If you're staying in one of our Meribel centre chalets, you can easily hop on the "Meribel Centre/Chaudanne" bus afterwards which stops just outside LDV.

The most popular place for après ski in Mottaret is the Downtown Bar. There are regular football and rugby matches being broadcasted in the bar as well as a live music and DJ in the evening, with theme evenings at least once a week.

Whilst these bars are conveniently placed for après-ski on or beside the slopes, if you fancy a more civilised drink after a hard day’s skiing then all the bars in Meribel provide a great place to go.
Our driver service from la Chaudanne runs from 16:00 to 18:30 everyday so you can catch a lift back straight to your chalet if you find yourself staying for a couple more drinks between those times, or if you stopped for après in Mottaret, check the bus times, they run until late so you can get back to Meribel for free.
A must visit if you wish to try Galician inspired cocktails. Boasting a range of professionally designed cocktails, carefully hand selected craft beers, an array of world wines served by the glass, and an exceptional spread of traditional homemade tapas; there truly is something for everyone here.

The ‘Tav’, although mainly staffed by Brits, does have a much more French feel than many others and often carries the live music scene on through the evening. There are plenty of Happy Hours and drinks specials to keep the atmosphere lively and afterwards you can just pop across the road to ‘Le Pub'.

Part of the same establishment, Scott’s is a quieter bar under the Doron Hotel in the centre of Meribel popular for après-ski and early evening cocktails whilst above it, Le Pub caters for the evening crowd keen for dancing. There’s also a pool table in a quieter area for those whose legs are worn out from a hard day’s skiing.

Why not have a game of pool in Barometer? Right in the middle of Meribel, Barometer has a pub like atmosphere. It’s a more relaxed après option in Meribel with a large selection of wine. It’s open from midday, food here is an eclectic mix of British, Asian and local influences – plus the best pizzas in town. The music starts for the après hours with great drinks deals every night such as the 2-4-1 on cocktails from 11pm till midnight.

A bar with a much more French feel than many others, Fifty50 is on the way down from the centre of town towards the Chaudanne. Despite being one of the smallest bars in Meribel, Fifty50 is full of character and well worth a visit.

A great place for a civilised evening drink, complete with extensive cocktail menu and more of a city-chic feel, L’Abreuvoir is right in the centre of Meribel, next to the Post Office and opposite La Taverne. Although branching out into the cocktail menu can end up more expensive, the prices aren’t extortionate and it is certainly an option for those wanting a break from the popular Alpine décor.

Sully’s is a famous name throughout the Alps, playing a wide variety of music from cheese to heavier stuff as the evening progresses. Located underneath the Brewer’s Den, entrance is free if you eat in the restaurant otherwise €15. Since the bars in town provide ample entertainment Sully’s only tends to get busy after 1am but stays open till the early hours. Check the link above for deals and events.

This is the French night club, situated right next to the Bowling alley on the upper level of the Olympic centre. Free before midnight and €20 thereafter, it’s worth trying just for the experience with classic French DJs and a busy dance floor, but beware the drinks can be expensive!
