The Resort

There are plenty of reasons to love Meribel, not only for its pretty, chalet-style architecture, wooded surroundings and friendly village atmosphere, but also the prime reason; its central position within France’s huge Three Valleys ski area which is especially loved by its keen winter sports fans.

Below you will find information on all the local amenities and services that are available in the resort to help get around and find everything you need throughout your stay.

The ‘Meribel Alpina’ ski pass offices

You will have most likely already purchased a discounted ski pass through us and your chalet manager will deliver that to your chalet upon arrival, but there are many reasons why you may need to visit the ski pass office. It is the place to go for information about the pistes, the lifts, their status and even non-skiing activities such as walking, as the pedestrian lift passes can also be purchased here. You can obtain an over 75’s or an under 5’s free ski pass with proof of age and a recent picture to hand. Visit the office if you need to make changes to your ski pass or if you have lost or had one stolen. Make sure to have the twenty-three-digit ski pass card number to hand, which you can find on your ski pass receipt.

Prices for one day start at 9€ (per three pairs of skis). The lockers are subject to availability when you arrive on-site, but you can also book the lockers in advance online for a minimum of 6 days.

Local transport

Meribus

Meribel runs a free bus service which travels all around resort on three routes: Les Allues-Meribel Centre (via Meribel Village); Meribel Centre-Altiport; Meribel Centre-Mottaret. Your chalet manager will provide you with a timetable for all three routes, or you can check them online using the link below.
View bus timetables

The closest bus stop to your chalet is just in front of the ‘Meribel Village’ roundabout, near the Lodge du Village bar and restaurant, a two-minute walk from the chalet. There are two bus stop markings for the Line A bus. Please be sure to wait at the one allocated for Meribel Centre and not Les Allues, if you wish to take the bus to La Chaudanne or the centre of Meribel. On the other hand, if you would like to go down to Les Allues for the day to visit the local museum or go to one of the local restaurants, Line A bus will also take you right to the centre of the Les Allues Village. Beware, Line A bus runs an intermittent service to Meribel Village. Please be sure to always check the bus times in advance, especially when taking the return journey.
