Parking

There is parking directly in front of the garage underneath the chalet to the left. There is space for two cars. There is also a large public car park just meters away from the chalet.

You will be given this upon arrival.

Linen, Towels and Toiletries

Each guest is provided with a duvet, pillows, cotton bed linen and bath towels. Hair dryers are available. You will also receive a selection of essential toiletries, which include shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and body moisturiser.

Wi-fi

Your chalet is equipped with free internet access via Wi-fi. If you need any help connecting, just let one of our staff know, they will be happy to help.

Ski Storage

Your chalet has an allocated ski and boot storage area where you can leave your equipment. It is located inside the garage just to the right of the main entrance. You can access it from the outside, using the smaller garage door or the door in the lobby leading straight to the garage. The code will be provided upon arrival. However, if you would prefer to leave skis stored right at the bottom of the lifts you can do so. Lockers are available underneath the Saulire lift in La Chaudanne. Please speak to your chalet manager to get this arranged.

The Chalet Staff

During your stay, our dedicated staff will provide breakfast service between 08:00 – 09:00 (5 mornings) and dinner service* at 20:00 (5 nights). Staff days off is Tuesday evening, Thursday and Saturday morning.

For the two evenings off, the staff will be happy to recommend and organise your meal at a cosy local restaurant or sort out a takeaway to be brought back to the comfort of the chalet. Please note, it is worth booking early as restaurants can often be full at late notice. Should you need a taxi, we will organise this for you upon request as well. View our guide to dining out.

On Thursday and Saturday, our breakfast cover team is still around to take you to and back from the slopes (ski school only for Meribel Village chalets); as well as deliver fresh bread, clear up after breakfast and lay the table with your favourite afternoon tea snacks for you to enjoy after a day of skiing.

For your evenings out, we are here to make any restaurant bookings for you. Please note, it is worth booking early as restaurants can often be full at late notice. Should you need a taxi, we will organise this for you upon request as well. View our guide to dining out.

There are several options for local takeaways which we will be happy to deliver for you upon request. Please refer to our Food guide for more info.

Driver service

From 16:00 to 18:30, if you end your skiing day at La Chaudanne in Meribel, a driver service is available to take you straight back to your chalet. Look out for a Ski Basics sign and a friendly smile at the pick-up point just in front of the main roundabout.

Children

We are happy to furnish your chalet with a cot, high chair and stair gate during your stay with Ski Basics. Sledges are also available on request.

Children's car seats
All Ski Basics vans can be fitted with either car seats or booster seats according to your child’s needs. Please let us know what you require and we will ensure that the vans are suitably kitted out for your group.

The Rules

We are proud of the fact that there is a distinct lack of rules. After all, it’s your holiday – far be it from us to tell you what to do! All we ask is that you please do not smoke in the chalet (the balconies are all equipped with ashtrays) and that you take off outside footwear at the door.

Changeover day

We ask that you do not arrive at the chalet until 12pm and your room will be available by 4pm at the latest. On departure day we ask that you vacate your room by 10am and leave the chalet by 12pm. We will be as flexible as possible on changeover day, and try to store your luggage for you if you are leaving late in the day or arrange changing facilities if you require them.

If you are making your own way to the chalet and your arrival is going to be delayed, we would be grateful if you could ring one of the numbers above in advance to let us know a new estimated arrival time.
