What’s going on this week in Meribel

There’s always lots going on in resort, so when you visit one of our Meribel chalets there’s sure to be lots to keep you entertained, both on and off the piste. For the best in what’s happening in town, check out our weekly recommendations.


* The British National Ski Championships will be taking place at the Chaudanne area with over 1000 competitors all racing for the coveted title of best in their category. Just a short walk from many of our Meribel chalets, make sure you take a wander down to check it out.

* Raquett’Evasion (Tel +33 (0)6 09 40 20 28) runs nordic walking tours of the Meribel valley every Monday.

* Joe Driscoll plays live at The Den (+33 6 24 38 43 86) from 11pm.


* British National Ski Championships continues.

* Rum N Bass at Dicks Tea Bar (+33 620 17 89 54) is the place to kick back with cheap rum and coke to the backdrop of drum and bass music. Open until the early hours of the morning, it’s the place open the latest in resort and set in the Plan de Moulin area.

* The street market in the centre of town is open all day to stock up on French delicacies on your ski holiday in Meribel.

* Bureau des Guides (04 79 00 30 38) are on hand to guide you to the best off piste skiing in The 3 Valleys.

* Cult classic film The Goonies is being shown at Meribel’s own auditorium – hopefully to be the first of many retro classics to grace the screen if the event is successful!

* Try your hand at winning a pair of K2 skis at the Jacks Bar (+33 (0)4 79 00 30 94) air guitar competition! Starts at 10pm.

* Bring your sled to Mottaret for a free evening of sledging on the beginner slopes, including lifts back to the top on the Doron magic carpet.

* Meribel welcomes Erik Truffaz to the auditorium for a free concert broadcast live on jazz radio.

* Brit band The Dominoes play at the Rond Point (+33 (0)4 79 00 37 51) for après ski at its finest.


* British National Ski Championships continues.

* Daisy B returns to the Rond Point for another gig of her Alps Tour. Join her for après ski and a guaranteed good time!


* British National Ski Championships continues.

* The Cheerleaders will be taking to the Rond Point stage for après ski. Celebrate in your ski boots to rock classics from over the years.

* 241 drinks at the Den including beers, house wine and house spirits is sure to be friendly on your wallet. Just above Dicks Tea Bar, you can continue partying the night away downstairs afterwards too.

* Toss the Boss at Jacks Bar means that if you roll the dice higher than the bartender, your whole round is free. If worst comes to worst and you roll the dice the same or lower, just pay the normal price.
