What's included in a Ski Basics catered chalet?

Your stay includes:
Breakfast every day
Cooked breakfast prepared by your host on 5 mornings
Freshly baked afternoon tea
Dinner prepared for you on 5 evenings
Wine with dinner
Friendly chalet hosts
Chalet housekeeping
Help and support from our Méribel team
Continental breakfast on chalet staff days off
Dietary requirements catered for
And with everything waiting for you back at the chalet, there's only one big decision to make each morning — where to ski.
classic or plus+?
We've designed two catered experiences so you can choose the style of chalet holiday that suits you.
The classic catered experience
Everything you need for a great catered chalet holiday.
Our original Ski Basics catered experience and a firm favourite with returning guests. Wake up to breakfast before heading for the slopes, return to freshly baked afternoon tea and relax in the evening while your host prepares a delicious three-course dinner with free-flowing wine. Comfortable chalets, great locations, good food and friendly service — without unnecessary extras.
The plus+ catered experience
A little more of everything.
Our plus+ chalets combine fantastic locations and stylish Alpine interiors with some extra touches to make your stay even more special. Enjoy cooked breakfast on five mornings, afternoon tea, pre-dinner aperitifs and canapés, followed by a four-course evening meal with carefully selected wines. Our plus+ option also includes unlimited beer and soft drinks, while many of our plus+ chalets feature hot tubs, saunas or steam rooms.

Food worth coming home for
There are few things better than returning from a day on the mountain knowing that dinner is already being taken care of.
Food has always been a big part of the Ski Basics chalet experience. From a freshly baked cake waiting when you return from skiing to sitting down together over dinner and a bottle of wine, we think good food is as much a part of a ski holiday as the skiing itself.
Our approach isn't about overly complicated fine dining. It's about delicious, satisfying food that's just right after a day in the mountains. We can also cater for a wide range of dietary requirements — just let us know before you travel.
Why choose Ski Basics for your catered ski holiday?

Catered chalets FAQs
-
How many days are we catered for?
Your chalet host prepares breakfast and dinner on five days during your stay, with freshly baked afternoon tea waiting for you when you return from the slopes.
On the other two mornings, a continental breakfast is provided for you to help yourself. The two evenings when your chalet team is off are a great opportunity to explore Méribel's restaurants. If you'd rather stay in, our resort team can also help you with local takeaway and dining options.
-
Can you cater for dietary requirements?
Yes. We regularly cater for a range of dietary requirements and allergies. Please let us know your requirements in advance so our team can prepare accordingly.
-
Can we see a sample food menu?
Yes. You can see examples of our classic and plus+ menus, as well as children's menus, on our chalet food page.
-
Can you help organise the rest of our ski holiday?
Yes. Once you've booked, My Ski Basics makes organising your holiday easy. You can manage your booking and arrange extras including ski passes, ski hire and airport transfers.
-
We have some non-skiers, what other activities are in resort?
There’s a whole host of activities to be enjoyed by non-skiers in Meribel. For those still looking to enjoy the slopes on foot there’s a number of activities including snowshoeing, husky sledding and snowmobile rides. Prefer to stick to the resort level? Why not hit up the shops for some retail therapy, sample some French wines or pamper yourself at one of the local spas or by ordering a massage to your chalet. Learn more about the activities for non-skiers in Meribel.
-
What time is check-in and check-out?
Our chalet holidays run Sunday to Sunday. Check-in is from 16:00 on arrival day and check-out is by 10:00 the following Sunday.

Catered ski holidays in Méribel & The Three Valleys
At the heart of the Three Valleys, Méribel gives you access to one of the world's great ski areas, with everything from wide, confidence-building pistes to challenging terrain and unforgettable days exploring the mountains.
And when the skiing is finished, Méribel has plenty more to offer — mountain restaurants, après-ski, shops, spas and beautiful Alpine villages. We've called Méribel home for over 20 years, so if you need advice about where to ski, eat or explore, just ask.
Not sure which chalet is right for you?
Tell us who's coming, what you're looking for and your preferred dates and we'll help you find the right chalet. Our team knows every Ski Basics chalet and can advise on the best options for families, groups, location, facilities and budget.
Prefer to go self-catered?
Want the chalet without the catering?
Our self-catered chalets give you the freedom to eat when and where you like while still enjoying great locations, comfortable accommodation and the support of the Ski Basics team.
